This group covers the bars, diners, family restaurants, fast-food spots and other kitchens that serve pizza alongside a broader menu. Standard US restaurant norms apply: lunch and dinner service with a quieter stretch between, cards and tap-to-pay accepted almost everywhere, and a tip of 15-20% customary for table service. Bars check ID for anyone who looks under 30, and the drinking age is 21 nationwide. Sports bars fill up on game nights and often run pizza-and-pitcher specials; diners and fast-food chains keep long hours, sometimes around the clock. Sales tax is added at the register on top of menu prices.

Detroit is in Michigan, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Detroit follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Had a wonderful dinner at Spitiko Greek Taverna today. Our server, Effie, was very kind and attentive. The atmosphere is very relaxed and comfortable. But most importantly, the food is amazing! A wonderful experience in Detroit's Greektown! 5 Stars!!

Dined at Spitiko on Tuesday 6/2. The food and service were amazing. Our server, Christin, was the best. She never let our drinks get anywhere near the bottom. We ordered the saganaki and the meat platter for 2-3 with a side of rice added. The food was delicious and the 3 of us left stuffed. Really good value! Can't wait to go back.

Absolutely mind blowing. We've tried many of Detroit's tried-and-true "best" restaurants, and this has been, by far, the best. Ordered the pork souvlakia, gyro plate, and village salad and, from the first bite, were shocked by how unbelievably delicious everything was. The souvlakia was insanely tender and well seasoned; the gyro meat was just the right blend of crispy and moist. And don't even get me STARTED on the village salad - I think I ate a whole pound of tomatoes because they were so expertly prepared. Staff were amazing, service was quick - we had a fantastic time. Plus, we left feeling good - which can't always be said when eating out. Cannot recommend enough!! Worth every penny (and more).

Visited this place while in Detroit based on the high ratings. I ordered the mixed meat platter. The lamb chops were delicious, the beef was good, and the pork souvlaki was better than the chicken. The gyro unfortunately came out very dry and almost burned, but after I mentioned it, they replaced it with a fresh one, which I appreciated. Portion size was okay, but definitely not enough for 3 people as advertised , more like 1.5 to 2 people max. The sides were also quite small. Service was good and the staff was friendly. Overall, it was an okay experience, but for the price I expected better quality. Iβm a big fan of Greek food and have had much better elsewhere, but because they handled the issue professionally, Iβd still give it 4 stars.
